Jaishree is the CEO and co-founder of Envisionit Deep AI, an innovative medical technology company that utilizes artificial intelligence to streamline and improve medical imaging diagnosis.
She is a paediatric radiologist and a dedicated medical specialist who has served the state health care system for 20 years. She has chaired the South African Society of Paediatric Imaging (SASPI), is the President of the African Society of Paediatric Imaging (AfSPI) and serves on the Executive Council of the World Federation of Paediatric Imaging (WFPI) and African Society of Radiology (ASR).
She pioneered the paediatric radiology sub-speciality after becoming the first South African qualified paediatric radiologist at the Red Cross War Memorial Hospital in 2010 In her previous roles she was the head of paediatric radiology at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg academic hospital (2010 to 2016) and thereafter at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital where she commissioned the department, set up governance systems, policies and protocols and successfully led the radiology team as the first department that opened the hospital in June 2017.
As a visionary and leader in her field, Jaishree knows that developments in technology are transforming the role that radiologists will play in a health system and that future radiologists need to embrace this innovation. Her special area of interest in pattern recognition and deep learning in radiology is driven by her passion for her sub speciality and the need to positively influence the lives of children by offering sustainable healthcare solutions in Africa.

Vukosi Sambo is an experienced executive and renowned key note speaker, with extensive experience in healthcare, financial services, FMCG and Market Research. He is an expert specialist in data science, AI & ML, digital strategies, cloud computing & security, risk management and actuarial, business architecture, consumer research and insights, remuneration design, and operations management. He currently serves as the Head of Data Solutions at Medscheme, a leading South African health insurer with almost 4 million lives under administration. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of Hottopics, a global data and technology events platform with over 15 000 C-level subscribers.
Prior to Joining Medscheme, Vukosi served as Chief Data Officer at Kaelo, held senior roles in Discovery Bank, SAB, Nielsen and Discovery Health. He has won several awards including 2020 Global Top 100 Data Visionary. Senior Lecturer (Pharmacology and Bioinformatics) @University of Western Cape
Dr Samuel Ayodele Egieyeh is a seasoned and highly experienced (over 20 years) pharmacist with B.Pharm (University of Lagos, Nigeria), M.Pharm (University of the Western Cape, Cape Town South Africa) and PhD in Bioinformatics (University of the Western Cape, Cape Town South Africa). He also has post-graduate certificates in clinical research and drug development from the University of Basel, Basel Switzerland. He started his career as a research fellow in 2001 at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Abuja Nigeria where he was involved in the formulation, production and quality control of a herbal products (notably a herbal remedy for sickle cell anaemia and malaria) and raw material development.
I lead the Computational Pharmacology and Cheminformatics Group (CPCG) at the School of Pharmacy, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town. Our research focuses on computational drug discovery and design, analysis and interpretation of chemical and bioactivity data using cheminformatics, bioinformatics, machine learning and biostatistics techniques in conjunction with relevant in-vitro bioassays in order to discover and design novel drug candidates, especially from natural products, for infectious and non-infectious diseases. As a formulator at heart, we are also involved in the development of novel drug delivery systems for herbal medicine (particularly exploring the use of nanotechnology as a tool for preparation of novel drug delivery systems for herbal medicine).
